Beginning Strings Summer Camp

Hosted by Highland Orchestra, Beginning Strings serves as the fundamental start for our first-year orchestra students. We are also welcoming our School Town of Munster neighbors to take advantage of this opportunity. The following information applies to all; Highland families are able to register at our beginning orchestra sign up nights in April. If you missed that date or are one of our Munster families looking to join us, you are welcome to register below.

Camp Information

Week 1: July 18-21, 2022

Students learn the basics of their instruments in 60 minute classes of like-groups. Camp times depend on the student’s instrument.
9:00 a.m. – Basses
10:00 a.m. – Cellos
11:00 a.m. – Violas
12:00 p.m. – Violins

Week 2: July 25-28, 2022

Students work together as an orchestra to apply their beginning instruction and learn new skills. All students meet from 9:00 a.m. – Noon each day. A short break is provided (bring your own snack if you would like!)
